SD card size vs speed?? w/ benchmarks

x50v, rolled back to wm03, using Pocket Mechanic for benchmarks.
my question is: does the size of the card matter? i am getting faster results on a 128mb SanDisk standard card, then i am on a 512mb Hi-Speed Patriot. Would i get better speed with two 256mb cards, standard or hi-speed?

128mb SanDisk standard (blue:
read- 8.3x / 1.24mb

512mb SanDisk standard (blue):
read- 1.7x / .25mb

512mb Hi-Speed Patriot:
read- 6.0x / .87mb

thanks for any input.

Speed and size don't go hand in hand. For example, my 4-year-old Ridata 256M cards are still one of the fastest cards around when used in my PDA's - definitely faster than today's non-branded 1G SD cards.

However, I'd recommend using other means of testing card speeds - Pocket Mechanic's results are pretty meaningless. Please read http://pocketpcmag.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17921 on this.
