1gb Sandisk to big??

I have a X50v, just got a brand new 1gb Sandisk SD card, pop it into my PDA and nothing, tired a reset......nothing, hard reset......nothing!!

I then took the 512mb Sandisk SD from my brothers camera, popped it into the X50v and bingo up it pops!

Tried my new 1gb in the camera and it's fine!!!

Ahhhhhhhh!!! Is there a limit onto the size an X50v can support, or is there something I need to do to the card?

Any ideas would be great

There is a limit i think but its more than 1 gig. Is it a cheap SD card? Sometimes these dont work in my axim.

Have both 1GB SD and 1 GB CF, SanDisk, memory cards in my X50v and my X50 High.

Never a problem, whatsoever, from day one.

hmmmmm, its annoying, its brand new Sandisk 1gb, it did come from ebay mind, but was all sealed. The 512mb my bro has works fine in the axim.

Is it worth contacting Dell?

I have a 1GB Transcend SD card and it works like it's supposed to...

It may be the formatting. I believe these cards can be formatted in different ways (similar to how you used to format a floppy). I think the Resco file explorer let's you format cards. Maybe you should try that.

I use both a 2gb CF card and a 1gb SD card both from Sandisk, never had any problems with them.

I would mate but the PDA wont even detect the card is there! I put in a 512 and its ok. I put the 1gb in a camera and its fine. I cant see what is up! i really need to try another 1gb card in the PDA maybe

Resealed might be a better description, try to reformat the memory.

You might even be able to contact SanDisk, just don't mention eBay.

lol! the thing is the card works fine in a digital camera I have, soon as i pop it into my Axim, it won't detect it!!!!

The 512mb I had works fine in the Axim and the Camera, most strange!

yep sure did, its wierd!! my 1gb sandisk CF card arrived this morning and that works fine!

hmmm... i bet you could get a replacement.. tlak to dell. ask them what to do. you may be able to get your card replaced also. i too have a 2gb sd card. works great...if you have a memory card reader for your pc, then you can format it from your pc.
