Is www.span.com a pisstake or scam site?

Is this site http://www.span.com a pisstake? Theyve had the Seagate microdrives listed for months at great prices and always listed as 'Available in about 28 days'. These things are very hard to get at remotely decent prices in the uk and this site just annoys me as they dont even have the 4 or 5gig models in stock nor ever seem to have had them. Listed as the 3 top bestsellers too!

Looks legit to me, but will they work in the Axim? Did a google on Worldspan and got 19,000 hits, initial scans cannot find any complaints and their contact setails are readily avaialble. I always shy away from any company that doesn't list a phone number clearly.

I contacted them regarding availability and got a reply in a day or so. Most companies seem not to bother replying to emails so I was impressed. They tell me that Seagate have been saying the drives will be available in February for some time.

It seems a bit rich to me for them to advertise them as the 3 top sellers on the site when theyve never actually sold one and yet had it listed since last june.

they do work in Ax, but that isnt even a good price. You can get one for a total of $156 from Amazon.com, which I trust more than any other online store.

In the UK i dont think ive even seen a 4gb microdrive for that cheap. Amazon.com dont ship to the uk either.

Amazon.com is significantly cheaper the $156.00 vs £139.00 equates to roughly $230.00 which is what Shrike means about them not shipping to the UK
- same product with a huge cost difference, we get seriously overcharged in the UK for alot of IT kit - hence why Dell will supply the UK in advance of others on ocassions because the profit margin is so much greater.
