Effect of Faster SD Card with NetFront Browser?
Currently, I'm using a 512 MB 60x Panasonic SD card with my Axim X50v (formatted to FAT32 and 32k clusters). I install all my applications there, and am pretty happy with the read/write time. Pocket Mechanic reports read time at 1MB/s.

However, the only application that seems to be really slow is the NetFront 3.3 web browser. Over Wifi, for a lot of sites, the page will display quickly, but then my Axim will freeze from 5 to 30 seconds before responding to taps again! Anyone else experiencing this? NetFront runs off of and caches to the SD card, so maybe all that reading/writing of small cache files is slowing it down?

Anyways, I went ahead and ordered a Transcend 4GB SD card, since I noticed the speed is like 3x faster than my current card. Will I notice a difference with NetFront? Thanks.

You should have it cache to the main memory. I have it cache to the temp folder and I allow it to have a cache of 4mb. It works much faster than having it cache to the card.

What about this thread?

I moved my NetFront cache to memory. It does seem a bit faster...
