Sandisk 4GB SD (Buyer Beware)

Just thought I'd share what a sucker I am in case it prevents anyone else from the same fate.

In December I bought a SanDisk 4GB SD Card from Ebay.

I have had so much trouble with my new Axim X51V (including the disappearing SD card, and no-play DVD rips) but now I know why.....

As it turns out, I was suckered. Confirmed by SanDisk, they currently do not have a 4GB SD card on the market (nothing higher than a 2GB SD).

Of course the damn thing didn't die out completely until enough time passed that Ebay and Paypal can no longer assist me.

Thanks for sharing your story. Just makes us keep in mind that we have to do our research before any purchase, especially on Ebay.

cripes i actually bid on one on ebay and won. but paypal refused to put payment through, probably because somone complained. its scary too because it was a "power seller" selling the product in question

I just bought a 2GB CF on ebay.....and it will be coming in the mail within the week.....lucky thing is I did checked the manufacturer did made such card....now I am crossing my fingers hoping the card is not a lemon....
