You can have a card in each slot at the same time sure. I don't see why you couldn't access both at one time. Say you had a compact flash GPS unit in the compact flash slot and maps loaded into a secure digital card in the secure digital slot. Sure, you could access both at one time. I'm sure it would put a pretty good drain on the battery though.

Don't be shy about asking stupid questions, it gives the rest of us something to laugh at. Just kidding! That's actually a great question and I know the answer only b/c I have one application, Tomtom Navigator 2004, installed on my sd card, but the maps are on my cf card, and it's never an issue. In fact, I keep movies on my cf card and the movie player, TCPMP, is on my sd card. So yes, you can use both at the same time.

Hey Dayna
I'm glad you asked because I was about to ask that not so stupid question my self.
I just have a 512mg sd card right now and I plan to buy a new one. Makes more sense to buy a large cf first and upgrade my sd later on. I mean the 512 sd still works fine so why not fill the other slot first right?
Thanks for typing the words right out of my mouth.
