How to stop annoting startup message?

Hi All,

I've just bought a 1GB SD card for my Axim X51v. Now everytime I start the Axim Windows Media palyer is opened and I get message saying a new memory card has been installed and would I like to search it for media? It's frustrating to have to read and close these items everytime. Does anyone know how to turn off this annoyance?

Thanks for you help,

Eamon

Welcome to Aximsite, Applesink!

It gives you the message because WMP is still running in the background. Go to Start - Settings - System tab - Memory - Running Programs tab and shut it down. You could also do a soft reset to close all running programs and/or install a 3rd party utility (Magic Button, vBar, etc.) that will allow you to close programs by tapping on the X on the top right corner. By default, the X only minimizes programs.

You may want to try an free application called 'Magic Button' found of the net. Its function is to close all active applications at once or upon demand. It works great on my X51V.
