I'M worried about axim and microdrive
Hi, i got a problem. when i start my axim, i always have to do soft reset, because my seagate 4gb microdrive, always go my battery to zero, if i charged my axim in the morning, by the afternoon the battery go dead, but the axim is off, or even when only past one hour after full charge, i had to soft reset, this didn't happen before the seagate microdrive is there any chance to didn't happen this, but i have to say the microdrive is working, i save movies, music and isilo documents and works but every time i have to soft reset.

I'M Worried, please need help

Your battery drain can be stopped. I had the same issue along with others. Last January I did a ROM update to A06 and then applied the 'Fake Server Trick' (listed above by bryanbellis). Since that time I have had zero issues (including the battery drain one). My X51V is rock solid all day long every day.

Also, if you view movies stored on your microdrive, you may want to get TCPMP (http://tcpmp.corecodec.org) or a similar media player that has a "Microdrive mode" and enable the microdrive mode. This buffers data from the microdrive into RAM and allows it to spin down.

Pocket Brain...thanks for the tip in setting TCPMP to microdrive. I wasn't aware I could do that. I, too, play my movies from a Seagate microdrive (8GB).
With the TCPMP set to microdrive...will that lessen the battery drain? What other benefits are there to this setting?
