Worried cant format raw CF card

before i continue i will say-yes!-i have searched the forums for hours. now here's the problem. when i put the cf card into the builtin card reader in my laptop and try to format it to fat32 it says "windows cannot compleat the format-bla bla bla" i know it is in raw format right now and i have tried resets with it in and out of my axim x51v(i love it soooo mutch) and that didnt work. so what can i do about it???

It may just be bad. I bought a hitachi microdrive that neither the axim or any of my card readers would format. Eventually they would not even admit was insterted. Returned it, replacement works like a champ. Most CF Cards are shipped pre-formated.

Worried

it was working before-then i used the memory test program that came on the dell cd. and since then it hasnt worked

call dell and tell them that their mem test program ruined your cf card and you want some money to replace it.

will they really send me money to replace it?? wouldnt they want proof that it did it? how do i do this?

I believed MOST will honour the warranty no questions ask ... just replaced when within warranty period :approve:

the card is old and i dont know where the warranty paper is. will dell replace the card since there progam F&$@%# it up??
