Hitachi Microdrive probs

Hi,
I've just taken delivery of my shiny new X51v and while I'm waiting for my new 2gb SD card to arrive, I formatted the Hitachi 1gb microdive from my camera in my laptop (fat 32) and put it in my Ax.

The problem I'm having is that I can't back up to it, transfer any files to it within the X51v, or through active sync. The message I get is that the card is write protected - which it isn't. I can transfer files to it through a card reader but I really wanted to back my data up within the device.

My SD card should arrive in a couple of days, hopefully I won't have a roblem then, but I wondered if any of you good people had ever come across this problem before and had any answers.

Great site by the way, I have learnt so much while waiting for my Ax to arrive.

use fat 16 for 1gb and below fat 32 is for 2gb and above

Thanks for the info - my SD card came thru the post about an hour later so I'm a happy bunny and my camera has its CF card back!
