CF Tpe II cards

Hi,

Probably a silly question coming up here ......

I've had my Axim for nearly a week now for which I bought a 2gb SD card, which is fine, and I took the microdrive out of my camera, but there has been a few niggly probs with that so I gave it back to my camera. So... I now want a CF card but I'm confused about one issue. The Dell manual says you need a CF Type II card but a lot of the web sites I've been looking at don't say what type they are selling, and on Ebay most say type 1. I was under the impression that Type II were the thicker ones, but I don't want to have to buy from a shop, just so that I can have a look at it first. How can I tell which ones are appropriate?

I believe type I is slimmer with only one row of pins at the bottom, as opposed to type II with two rows.

The Axim will take either Type I or II. Any Type I memory card should work.

Many Type II microdrives work. I use a Hitachi 4G Type II microdrive. But, some don't. Check here first.
