Ridata 80X 8gig CF incompatible withX51V

Sorry if this has been asked already. I searched but couldn't find anything.
I just got my 80X 8gb. The PDA doesn't even see the card, let alone give me an error message. Anyone had experience with this particular card.
p.s. I've tried other cards in the slot and they work.
p.s.X2 I have done the fake server trick

Actually tried resetting many times, including my first ever hard reset. No luck!
I'm going to reformat the card when I get home, and post an update.
I'm sure a lot of axim owners in the US are interested in this card as it is the cheapest 8GB CF (non microdrive) available.

Hmmm...thats not good news as I was seriously considering this card. I know EngrPaul has this card also and has tried it in his X50v with no reported problems so far. I don't know if he has had a chance to try it with his new X51v. Hopefully he checks out this thread and is able to share his experience.

Good News

Sorry Guys.
Seems like I jumped the gun.
Once I was able to format the card at home, the Axim started reading it.
We have a fascistic IT department at work. We can't even format cards at any of the work computers.
I've already got 7 gigs of music and videos on it.
To recap, the card requires reformating before the X51V can read it.
Cheers

This card is my primary card in my X51v. Works great. :approve:
