CF for pics and SD for apps + data???
I am new and confused.
Is it a good idea for me to store pics on my CF card, and put data and apps on the SD card, or......... store apps on the device itself?
Using the X50V

Thanks.

This my friend is a matter of opinion. For instance, my personal opinion is to use BIS for programs you always want to have on your Axim so even if you swap out your SD card you can still access them. The SD card is used for all other programs and read/write data (IE cache, backups, DLL stores). And finally I use my CF card for read only stuff like music, videos and maps for GPS. I find this is what works best for me, like I said people have different opinions on the subject and over time you'll be able to form your own. Hope I could help clear your confusion a bit.

In my limited experience, I use my 1g cf card for larger applications, data files, music, and pictures because I leave my cf card in the Axim. My 1g sd card is for movies to watch on my long commute. I have the Rhinoskin case and it is easier to get the sd card out and put in my reader than the cf card.

I have a 8gb micro drive that I store larger files on (movies, pictures, pdfs, excel and non-ppc files I carry with me always). I have a 512mb SD card that I use for backups of 'MyDocuments'. I have a X51V so I have all applications in its ROM.

I have a 1GB SD card that I put just about everything on except My Documents & Today Plug Ins. The only time I take the carp out is to xfer movies to/from it.
