Accessing mp3's from SD Card

Is there a simple way to shuffle mp3's from my SD card on Axim X30 using the bundled player?

Yes, there is a shuffle function in Windows Media Player. Tap on Menu - Shuffle/Repeat and choose Shuffle. You should make sure you have updated your library first (also under Menu).

So it's ok to just copy mp3's onto the SD card - I don't need to create special named folders so the player recognises the files?

It's ok, but you as I said before, you need to Update Library for the player to be able to "view" the entire contents of your card. Otherwise, you'd have to open the files one by one as opposed to a playlist.
