hp ipaq 1710 sd card problem

hopefully this is the correct forum for my question.just got the ipaq to use for mostly satnav.the viamichelin package came with a 128 mb card which is causing my problem.under settings and about it shows expansion slot in use with the sd card but under memory it does not show the sd card.when trying to install the viamichelin software from cd it also doesnt show the sd card as a location to save the maps.i am presuming that its a memory card fault but being new to the pda scene thought i would check with more experienced people.thanks for any advice you can give.

If you would use spaces after your sentences and use proper capitalization your post might be a letter easier to read. You might look a little smarter also.
