CF microdrive lost space:bang:
I have a X51v, bought a Hitachi 4g microdrive and installed it. I copied muisc from my laptop to the h/d to listen to. I finally tried the sync option with Windows media player, after much trial and error got it to work. Now I have a folder on my h/d named with weird characters µAÉ and can't delete it. Also over 2g of space is gone from the h/d. There are no visible files in the folder, I can't delete it, rename it or do anything with it. Any suggestions besides reformatting the h/d (which I'm not sure can be done)?

Thanks

Have you tried formating it? Format it to a FAT partition if not (I say FAT because a microdrive will need the speed benefits from using a FAT partition)

My Seagate 8gb micro drive was formated for me at FAT 32. Works great, never have lost anything. Most of the transfering of files to it (large files) I do with a card reader. AS is way to slow for this process.

Actually, you need to format cards over 2GB in capacity in FAT32 because, well, you do.

I did buy a SanDisk card reader today, attached to my laptop and reformatted the HD. Also I updated the ROM, reloaded my music, changed the settings for Active Sync as posted in the forum and so far (fingers crossed) it's not "lost" the microdrive. After upgrading the ROM it seems to act better than before.

Thanks to all for your response and help!!
