Transcend 8GB CF Card

Anyone have the Transcend 8GB CF card? I'm wondering if anyone has experience with it. Also, does any one know if it is solid state or microdrive? Thanks!!

I don't think Transcend makes microdrives. Only Seagate and Hitachi make them.

This one?

It's a CompactFlash flash drive.

I think it should work, but I don't own one. Yet.

Transcend 8gb CF in Canada

Tigerdirect.ca is selling it for under $200 cad: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2315944&CatId=2411

To date, this is the cheapest deal I found in Canada. Too bad I already bought the 4gb CF. I also have the transcend 4gb SD, and both of them worked fine on the X51V.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm in Europe so I'm not what the exchange rate is for the Canadian Dollar. I got it for $130 USwith FedEx for $2. I hope it's a good price.

I use a Transcend 8GB in my X51v for some months now and I have not had any problems, I'm in the UK and got mine from www.offtek.co.uk. I use it for apps, movies and music. I also use the Transcend 4GB CF and 4GB SD's

got a 8gb trans CF, first one was bad. format and corrupted. any files copy into it will eventually be full after 200 mb of data, then fat system is damaged. format again and test, fail. any files copyied under 200 mb with a chkdsk will report corrupted lost chains.

Got a "new" 8gb trans. exchanged. Newer one works a bit better because it now copies over 200mb, however, over time, data becomes corrupted once again. chkdsk reveals lost chains. If chkdsk isn't done, then playing mp3 files will reveal bits and pieces of music being played from different files:

I will run further tests to figure this out?
