I've used the following in my X50V :-

SanDisk 2GB Micro SD card with SD Adaptor.
SanDisk 1GB Micro SD card with SD Adaptor.
Inov8 256mb SD card.
Crucial 256mb SD card.
SanDisk 1GB CF card.
MyMemory 4GB CF card.

In my old X30 I used:-

SanDisk 2GB Micro SD card with SD Adaptor.
SanDisk 1Gb Micro SD card with SD Adaptor.

I'm surprised it's not in the list, but I've been using :

SanDisk Ultra II Compact Flash Card 2GB

since November 2004, and no problems at all - great card!

This one is in the list though :

A-Data Turbo Secure Digital Card 4GB 150x

Bought March 2006, and working fine for months. But stopped working a few months ago.



Someone stomped on it :(

:( This is a bit of a bummer. I got this when I had my old iPaq 2210 and it worked fine. But on my X51V it's erratic. All my other cards (Kingston 1G and 512M CF) are fine.

What happens is that when it works, it's lightning fast. But after a couple (or even after the first use) when I try to access a file on it the PDA locks up. Seems to mostly happen when I access MP3 files, but also happens with others.

I thought it might be some kid of timing issue so I tried different CPU speeds, but no go. Also I tried formating it FAT16 and FAT32. On another post on this board I reported that FAT32 fixed it but that was premature.

Any ideas? I paid a bunch for it and would like to use it.

Sounds like a defective card. It might be a good idea to start a new thread. It is highly unlikely you will get the answer you need with your question being buried so deep in this thread. Your problem was noted in the list.

Guess what! My AXIM died under warranty and Dell sent me another. And that one works with the ATP Promax 2 GB !!! :cheers:

Datawrite 8 Gb Compact Flash works fine in iPAQ hx2490.

Samsung 16.0GB OEM 150x CF Card.

Have had this for 2 days now, and works fine in my Axim X50v.

(It doesn't actually say 150x on it, but it is!)

Transcend Compact Flash Card 16GB 133X x51v works great

I installed this card about 2 weeks ago in my x51v, and it's working great with no issues. The part # is TS16GCF133.
