I also have PNY 1GB SD card; Kingston 512mb SD card; PNY 512MB Compact Flash card; Lexar 1GB Compact Flash card; Crucial 1GB compact flash card and Magicstor 2.2GB microdrive CF card. I have used these in my X50V and now in my X51V without any problems.

A-Data Turbo 150x 4GB SD - Had been working perfectly until 2 days ago when I lost ALL my stuff on it. Reformatted & appears to be OK again.
Seagate 8GB Microdrive - no issues at all.
Dump that thing NOW. I had the same issue, eventually it wouldn't even be recognized by any system. I sent it it for replacement. The new one started to do the same thing about a month later. This company is JUNK!
Does anyone know how to do a true read/write test on cards?

Dump that think like a bad habit... see post above... A-Data SUCKS
Has anybody had any troubles with A-Data Compact Flash cards? I'm about to get a 8GB one which I borrowed from a friend and briefly tested on the Axim and appears to be working fine with simple I/O operations.
There isn't really other data on it that I can find. I can tell you it was purchased from a Canadian Wal-Mart though and that it's got very nice read/write speeds over a USB2 card reader.
I just realized that I had the product code and the manufacturer part # for the Compact Flash that I put on this thread in Post #6.
Full information below:
The first card that I have is a Ridata 4GB CompactFlash Memory Card, 150X CF Card. Product Code: MEY05X0107-001. Manufacturer part #: CFR4G-SILV. I also got this at the Supermediastore.com for $74.95.
The other card that I have is a Ritek Ridata 4GB Secure Digital SD Card 150X High Performance that works fine. Product code: MEY02X0151-001. Manufacturer part #: SDCR4G-SILV. I got it at Supermediastore.com for $72.95.
Both seem to be working great.
I also have a Secure Digital SanDisk 128 MB card. The number on the back says: AK05253AWD - I am not too sure what you would call this number. I got it years ago for my camera.
The other one that I use (which I also use with my camera) is a Secure Digital Kodak 256 MB. The number on the back is: 3405-256S A 4305B.
Can you refer to post #1 and supply the information listited in it for your above mentioned cards. We are not so intrested in speed as we are in what is known to work or not work in Axims. Post this info and I will get your cards on the list. with a reference to your card speed post .
viking interworks 4gb compact flash card, working fine, after i spent about week trying to get it to work, only to find i had it in the wrong way! doh!
dane-elec brand 1gb secure digital card, also working fine
dane-elec brand 256mb secure digital card, working just fine
Does anyone know if the SanDisk Extreme® III 8 GB Secure Digital Card will work with the Axim X51v? I don't see any reference to it being SDHC (which I know will not work with the Axim).
2GB Intron CF card works without problems on X51v and card reader. However, the A-Data 4GB Turbo 150x (MyFlash) SD card had to be formatted in the X51v before it would work, and the external USB CF/SD card reader refused to read the 4GB SD card.
