Problem with a Dane-Elec CF Card can anyone help.
I have a 2GB Dane-Elec CF Card already in my X51v, its been working great for months.
Last week i saw the 4gb Dane-Elec CF Card for £17.99 and thought it was to good to miss, now i think i know why. When i Put the card in my x5v it says:-
'Unrecognised Card
Enter the name of the device driver for this card. For information, see the card manufacturer's documentation. Unknown Card in socket 1."
As anyone any idea why this one wont work yet the 2gb does and other manufacturers 4Gb's work?
Cheers In Advance

I purchased, off Ebay, what I now know to be a "fake" CF card manufactured in Taiwan. It was sold as a 4gb Samsung but came without any identifying labels. I identified it as "fake" by the number 8dc04g1mp2-2lc00 as per the Ebay guide. I have had it now for 12 months and use it every day. It works fine and has 4000.54Mb available. It currently holds 3369.04Mb but has held more. I use it for movies, music, and maps for Oziexplorer and Tom Tom. It's not what I supposedly bought but it has worked fine to date.

I was wondering if anyone had had the card driver thing i mention in my previous post and if so a solution to it.
Cheers in advance:exc:

I haven't been able to find much if any information on incompatability, I've got a crappy taiwanese knockoff with a brandname that sounds like a dubbed japanese TV show I used to watch when I was a kid in the early seventies (shintaro) and it works fiiiiiine. The question I would ax is out of all the SD and CF cards manufactured, and used, how many are faulty on first use???????????
