If anyone is looking for an 8Gb CF card, the 120x 8Gb Transcend CF card (Model TS8GCF120) is now $92.99 + $4.99 shipped at Newegg.com. The price was $109.xx last time I checked a few days ago. Linky

This has been dropping the past few days. I got mine for $99.99 plus $4.99 shipping and then it dropped to $96.99 and now to $92.99. Great deal as a just a month ago this card was selling for at least $150.

16GB CF flash drives have already been announced although they are not widely available and pretty expensive.

yeah 8GB CF cards was 150ish not more then a 3 or 4 weeks ago, amazing if you ask me.

Thats good to know and generally the way things will go with tech. I'm trying to put my whole CD collection onto the 8GB CF card and in the middle of the process realized that 8GB might not be enough. I'll either pick up another one of these 8GB cards as they head further south or wait for 16GB cards to be more affordable.

Mine came yesterday. It was ~105 w/tax and shipping from Newegg (I live in CA and pay CA sales tax for Newegg purchases -- still worth it.)

Plugged it into my x51v. Came right up, no formatting or anything else. Boom. Nice.

Hmmm....I don't know if I have EVER seen such a bad set of reviews for a company. There were three "very satisfied" ratings by clueless customers and the rest were either "somewhat dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied" Wow. 4 pages worth. And people continue to buy from them... <shakes head>

Price droped to $81.99 so I got one coming to me as I type this. Great price. Now I can retire my 8gb micro drive.
