You sound like you have some experience with SD cards.
I need to upgrade to 4Gigs. My 2Gig is just about full.
What speed would be the fastest required to see a noticable difference.
I am guessing some cards might be faster than Axim can take advantage
of.
What's the best method to transfer all the data from my 2Gig to the 4Gig?
I was going to copy using activesync from the SD card to my desktop, remove
the 2 gig, install the 4Gig then copy everything back to the 4Gig.

I'd used Pocket Mechanic to test my 2G Transcend 150x SD, 1G Kingston Elite Pro CF and 8G A-Data 120x CF, in my X51v. And I use FDbench + Kingston USB 15in1 card reader in my notebook Dell D610.
In X51v:
SD read is more than 5.4MB/s, CF is about 1.2MB/s(both Kingston and A-Data).
About write speed, SD is 2.6MB/s and CF is 1.2MB/s(both Kingston and A-Data).
In Dell D610:
SD read is more than 15MB/s, A-Data is about 15MB/s and Kingston is 5MB/s.
SD write is about 10MB/s, A-Data is about 3.8MB/s and Kingston is about 5MB/s.
So I'm sure that SD is definitely faster than CF in X51v.
FYI.
