Welcome, welcome, Traindriver.

I use a 1gb SanDisk SD card. Once the 4gb CF cards sneak under $200, I may have to add one of those puppies.

I don't know about others, but I am finding have several smaller cards is advantageous from the stand point of creating categories of media files and having what I want with me when I want it - work-out music for example as opposed to ebooks, dvds, backups, etc. I like my 1GB SD card but it still isn't big enough to hold all the media I have/use. It certainly is less expesive to buy several small cards tha one really large one and there is a certain amount of extra backup security having it on a separate SD card (if you're not always using filestore) from the rest of your media files.

wow... that's a lot of cards!
i've got a PQI 1gb and a PNY 256MB

i think that larger cards have their ups/downs
upside you can store larger files, which is good for movies and such... i'm able to store whole dvd movies recorded at insanely good bitrates and not worry on my 1gb...
however if you lose it or if it magically reformats itself, you lost a lot of data...
Unfortunately i've got a Palmone treo, which has problems with SD cards popping out... i've already lost a 64 mb card for good and i've dropped my 256mb card twice (finding it thankfully) the 1gb card does not leave the ipaq. i'm thinking of getting another 1 gb card just for media and using the current card for gps maps etc...

Wow Ted. You are my hero

My hubby has a 512 MB Kingston SD card and a 512 MB Sandisk CF.

For me, I have:

2 1GB Sandisk CF card
1 1GB PQI SD card
1 512MB PNY SD card
1 256MB Sandisk SD card (for my digital camera)
and a 1GB Lexar SD and CF card on the way for my new Toshiba
It's that time of year again. I need a new holiday avatar... Is there anyone up to the challenge?

512MB Lexar SD. Even though I overpaid for it ($80; could've gotten a 1GB Lexar if I could've bought it online), its still sufficient for me.

Funny you ask... I actually don't for the most part. I have been doing digital photography for awhile now. I have a Minolta Dimage 7 as well as a Olympus E-10. Both cameras take CF thus my reason for wanting PPCs that will accept CF cards. Most of my cards were purchased for the cameras.
