Sandisk Ultra II 512MB or the Sandisk 1GB?
Hello

This is my first post.. I just bought a new IPAQ RX3115 I was shopping around for a SD card and I sorted it out to these two. The Sandisk Ultra II 512MB for $59 or the Sandisk 1GB for $64. The Sandisk Ultra II "suppose" to be 9 times faster than the 1GB. Anyone have any inputs? Please help me decided on which SD card I should buy.. Thanks!!

do you know what the speed rating is on the 1gb? because most cards are fast enough to most everything pretty well- and a 1gb at $64 is awesome!

I have a 1gb Sandisk; I had put a number of programs on it but found it to be slower than installing in RAM, so I put the installs back there. I'm looking to a faster card where I can run programs from and I'd use my 1gb [which I got for 125!] for media storage and backups. IMHO, for that it's fine.

i have a silicon power 512mb 30x (6.4mb/s max) sd card...imho it still loads program icons from it real slow...gps maps load fine..but its not as fast as main memory..nothing will be as fast as main memory...

you could try the 45x (10mb/s max) sd cards and see if they make a big difference?

i have a 45x pqi 1 gb and i encode dvd movies at 640x480 with 128kb sound, and the movie ends up around 700 mb... never skipped or lagged. i usually load programs into ipaq file store... and just data on cards. i guss some benchmarking is in order to compare the two

Sandisk 1G is not UltraII right? 'Cuz if it is then $64 is a smoking deal!
