Question for microdrive users...

I was thinking about getting a microdrive, but I have some general questions:

Is energy drain a major issue with microdrives, or do they use little power?

And what is the sound like when microdrives are reading and writing? Is it really noticable?

From testing I have done with my microdrive the power drain is between 7 and 13% in addition to a solid state card.

To put that in context litening to music for 1 hour (using Betaplayer with the screen off) of solid state cards reduced my standard H2210 battery by 22% and with my microdrive by 25%.

I don't notice the noise.

There are lots of other peoples views on this site - I you search for microdrive and power you should find a few.

theres little difference to power drain when using a microdrive and other flash cards

i dont notice the noise..but i do if i put my ear real close to the microdrive
