SD or CF for large medical databases
Hello all. I need some recommendations on which type of card (SD or CF - brand?) to use on an Ipaq 2755 for large medical databases:

Davis' Drug Guide
5MCC
Taber's Medical Dictionary
Laboratory and Diagnostic

Also, should I put the programs on the actual Ipaq or is putting them on a card better?

FYI - I have a camera that takes CF cards.

Thanks.

It really depends since some program will let you install on SD/CF while others requires that you install them on main memory. You'll have to contact the developer to find out.

If you were to have a choice, I'd say store it on your CF since it'll be faster than on filestore.

As for the brand, there are a lot of mixed reactions so it's tough to say. I've tried a few (Kingston,PNY,Lexar,Sandisk) and I've yet to face any problems but with others, some failed while others are sworn by.

Enjoy your PPC, mate.

Either way, the difference in speed isn't noticeable unless you're using a program that takes up lots of processing speed/video memory and even then, it's still not too noticeable. However if you need it to be really reliable you should install it on your ppc, as some cards have a "habit" of losing memory. But at the same time, if your ppc runs out of power, the installed program will still be installed.
