Question Memory card & power consumption

when comparing a 4GB SD card with a 4 GB CF card; which one uses less power and allows for longer battery life? It may be card specific but say its a 4GB Sandisk extreme III CF and a 4GB Sandisk extreme III SD card? thanx

In my opinion the flash based cf and sd cards have little effect on battery. Its microdrives that use up ur battery.

The memory cards have little effect on battery life. Also the high speed cards are not worth buying unless the price is comparable to the lower speed cards.

Much of a muchness, it depends what you are running off the card. If the card is storage it will consume more power if you are accessing the data on it. If you are running apps on the card it will consume more power, while you are running the apps

This is very true. Watching a movie from my micro drive causes significant battery drain of 15-20% more verses an SD or normal CF.
