Cheap ($) Compact flash

Hello All-

I need some help finding the cheapest ($) Compact Flash card possible...I would like at least 4gb, however, if anyone knows where to find a really cheap 8gb card, that would be nice! Thank you!

What is cheap? total or per GB?

newegg wants $50 for a 4gb cf (or $12.5/GB)
Newegg.com - PNY 4GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model P-CF4G-133W-RF3 - Retail

Or

90 for an 8gb(or $11.25/GB)
Newegg.com - Transcend 8GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS8GCF75 - Retail

I'd go with the 16gb myself for $135 (or $8.44/GB). As I have this card I can say it works great with the axim (and all my old pda's down to windows ce3 (casio be300))

Newegg.com - A-DATA 16GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SPEEDY CF 16GB - Retail

Here in the UK you can get a 4GB flash card for just £17.99 branded Dane-Elec. I have one in my X51 and works fine.

I agree w/Jadesse. I buy at Newegg. Great quality and prices. No fakes.

Yep, I also buy mine from newegg, etc.

Occasionally, my local CompUSA will have some great deals, they can be really cheap there on occasion too!

I agree with the NewEgg suggestion too,
eBay has a bidding frenzy and prices tend to go higher than the deals at NewEgg.
I got a 4GB there, but it was a while ago.

Whatever you do, stay away from Ebay. For whatever reason, the memory card market there is filled with fraud. It is a huge problem.

Worried Will it work on X51v Axim???

Do you think the same 16GB FlashCard will work on theI've got a 6GB Microdrive; this is the first time I've ever heard a card that big could be supported by any Axim.

Thats interesting. Where from?
I cant find anything, including that brand, for under £30.

So you can get 16GB + in the US? Been searching online and 8GB seems to be highest capacity over here so far.

I'd stay away from Duane-Elec I had one of there SD cards it lost several photo's spontaneously. Never had that happen on a Sandisk (not cheap) or a Kingston.

I usually look at the Frys ads for my flash memory needs. They often have name brand cards, w/ and w/o rebates at very low prices.
