Transcend is also releasing a 32GB CF card at a speed of 133x. No word on availability or price yet.

The Transcend 32GB 133x is finally available on the Transcend on-line store. A bit pricey at $210 (compared to $135 for the A-DATA 32GB 40x Speedy CF) but hopefully places like Newegg will start carrying it and prices drop a bit.

Welcome to Transcend Online Store

Then again, its only a bit more expensive than a 16GB SanDisk Extreme CF card.

Edit: Seems like TigerDirect might be carrying this card as well for $179.99 per pricegrabber, but none in stock at the moment.

It seems Newegg is carrying the Transcend 32GB 133x CF card as well (Yeah!). They are selling it for $164.99 plus $4.99 shipping, cheapest price yet but none in stock at the moment (ETA 2/6/08).

Newegg is showing the 32GB Transcend CF card as in stock now. Any early adopters out there?

I'd wait for 128GB CF and 64GB SD-HC
this'll be ultimate solid state storage, and definitely ipod storage killer!

Hi guys,

just taken delivery of the A-Data 32Gb CF card and I am over-the-moon satisfied with it. Video playback is as good as ever it was with my 8Gb card, no buffering delays or the like. Transfere speeds from PC to card seem even faster than before (and that was with a 120x 8Gb also from Newegg).

Works perfectly in my Dell x51v. If you have the cash and need the space, I would recommend this without hesitation. Just for info, currently have 16 movies, 310 music video clips, 22 music CD´s, 12 hours of TV shows and various graphics/icons and other progs loaded to the card. Oh and still have 11Gb space free!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget. There isn't any load time on it either. There might be some search time but it will own.

other than capacity
I found A-Data 16GB SD-HC is pretty fast, alot faster than Patriot 4GB 133x regular SD
if it doesn't have compatibility problem, this'll be an ultimate card!

see post 11 in this thread. Z has a x50 and he said it worked fine. his only problem was that the card is a type 1 card and the slot in the axim allows a type II card. this leaves a small gap . i have not heard of this being a problem. most CF cards are only type I so there are many many users out there with this "gap"

The A-data 32GB CF card continues to work fine (X50v under 2003SE) with daily use since the previous post... :approve:

However, I'm slowly getting desperate to upgrade to 64GB or larger...

Hello,

Has anyone heard if the 64gb CF has reached the market yet? Iv'e heard, and seen that Microdia had come out with a 64gb CF card called the XTRA ELITE CF with AWSOME specs: 300x speed, thats 45mb/s! I believe that this card is currently being sold in Australia. Anyone know any new news about this card?

Here are some links:
Microdia beats Samsung to market with world's first 64GB CF card - Engadget

MICRODIA | Flash Memory Cards | CF 300 XTRA ELITE

I seriously can't wait for this card to hit the U.S. market.

By the way, I have a x51v and am using the A-Data 32gb CF without any tinkering of the machine or card, WORKS GREAT! You can get it now at Newegg.com for $73!

Regards,
ztdztd
