A-Data 16gig Speedy CF card

Canada Computers - Flash Memory/Drives > CompactFlash : A-Data Speedy Series Compact Flash Memory Card 16GB.

wondering if this is compatible with x50v using 2003SE. i'm currently using a 4gig microdrive, running out of space and it's heavy. i rather not change O/S, please advise.

thank you.

after much deliberation i decided to take a chance and buy the card without much response to my thread. went to the store, paid for it, opened it there(a restocking cost of 15%, so if it didn't work i was there to return).

took a deep breath, inserted the card and voila... i'm in heaven. no problem with x50v using 2003se. now the hard part, filling the card with mp3s and stuff.

so anyone on the fence with this card, it works like a charm.

I think the 32gb ones will work on the x 50s too. I know they do on the x51.

Go with newegg. They just had a price drop on their larger cards. Got myself a transcend 8gb b4 the price drop, but i love the card. Transcend is a good cheap brand, a-data is cheaper also and they are the only 32gb card on the market at least on newegg.

the issue is to be careful when writing files in PDA
make sure the job is completed, or card corrupt error (requires format) may occur
the writing speed is kinda slow in host computer, it's OK for viewing 640x480 30fps .wmv videos though
I am waiting for 32GB CF with better speed (80x or better), but reliability is still the first priority (this one is fine, as long as you don't write anything from pda)

Shouldn't have to wait too long. Transcend announced they were releasing a 32GB CF card in their 133x speed line.

I am experiencing some difficulty transfering data including programs from a 4gb CF card to a new 16gb A-Data CF. I've reformated a number of times, the problem is that not all programs transfer across. Even single transfers do not appear to be the solution. I use a multi device card reader, WM5 and Win XP. Any ideas to resolve this challenge would be appreciated.
Only limited by not trying
