64GB and 100GB CF cards!!!

Hey guys,

Check this out... 64GB CF card with 35m/s reading and 25m/s write speeds by Pretec. Pretec also just released their 100GB CF as well. This is the largest CF card in the world! Unbelievable!!! It also seems like it is available to buy. I can't wait to get this guy. The 64GB CF has hit the market, but the 100GB, not yet... 100GB and 333X 50GB are expected to start shipping by the end of 2008. Has anyone heard this news, has anyone tested these cards out?

[Don't Panic!]

Even with the strong case of early-adopteritis I have I am balked by the $399 price on this 64GB card. Okay it's faster than the current cards but a 32GB card can be had for under $70. More spped doesn't justify a 5X price jump to me. MAybe it's meant for professional photographers or something...

well it should come down in price and maybe even push the 32G cards cheaper too... thats what i am hoping for.... i think 32 G would be just fine.....enough movies for a return plane trip... lol

That's really big, but not for the Ax, definitely for a pro Photographer!
