So what's the deal with cf lately?

So it's been nearly a year since Protec released a 64gb cf card but yikes! It's still $230 even on Ebay. You can get a decent 32gb cf card on newegg for around $70. My question is, where are the 64gb cards from the other manufacturers? I imagine once they start coming out prices for both capacities should start to drop considerably.

I'd like to purchase myself a 32gb cf card but I'm not sure if I should wait for prices to drop or see what prices for the 64gb cards will be from the other manufacturers.

Anyone know what the word is?

Playing the flash memory market is a hard game. Your probably always going to lose.
If you wait for the 64gb card to come down, youll probably wait until 128gb cards are in the works.
If you buy a 32gb card now, it will drop quite a bit when 64gb cards come down.
Personally, i never buy the biggest GB card on the market, they always seem to be a rip off in $ per GB.

Figure out which size you can get for the cheapest per GB, and if youd actually forsee yourself using that much space now or in the future. Then buy it....

O_o, I could certainly use a 32 or 64 GB card on my new Sat receiver - and CF's seems to be the cheapest :o
