what would erase a sd card

Something has erased almost everything on my 2G Sd card. The windows temp folder is still there and a spb finance back up is still there but everything else is gone. Any ideas on why? or what? or how?

Everything is probably still there, but the FAT (or whatever SD Cards have in lieu) has become corrupt. It still amounts to the same thing, though. You could try the SD Card in another device or PC to see if it can be read properly & then copy it & reapply the copy to it, otherwise your only option is a reformat

Haven't had it happen in a while but if you remove the card at just the right time (while it is being accessed) it could do this. I find it renamed it to StorageCard2 more than erasing it.

+1 on trying to read it with a pc.
