SDCard super Slow

Just curious if the X5's sd slot is amazingly slow, or will a decent SDCard help a bit.

Currently using a Sandisk Standard, and Pocket Mechanic benches it at 0.10MB/s which seems pretty damn slow. I'm sure a standard SDCard is capable than more than that.

I tried a crap NoName CF Card and it gets 0.52, 5X Faster.

Wanted to get a 1Gig SDCard, just don't know if i should spend the cash on a 32X or just a standard one.

I have a 512Mb Lexar 32X and a 256Mb SanDisk. The speed is noticeable between the two. If you go fo 1Gb the speed will be important as the data to be retreived takes more time.

Do both SD cards have a My Documents folder? If not, the one without it will be much slower in use. Just add a My Documents folder and delete the 0 length file "ignore_my_docs" and it should show faster.

I was using a Kingston 512Mb SD. It ran with no problems, the games were a little slow to load other than that I had no issues with it. I purcahed the Lexar 1GB, 32X SD. I noticed the difference right away. Games that used to take 1 minute to load now load in less than 10. This was a great buy at $49 after a $30 mail in rebate from buy.com.
