A question on the 4 gig Hitachi microdrive

Can you hear any noise/sound from the 4 gig Hitachi microdrive in a quiet room?

Also, how much did you pay for your Hitachi microdrive?

How long have you had it and did you encounter any issues?

i have not used it, but most Microdrives do have a little bit of noise since it is a physical disk moving inside

this isnt much noise, but there is a little there

I've got the Hitachi drive (4gb), and the only time I ever hear any noise is if I put my ear directly against the drive and listen. You can't hear it otherwise...and even with your ear right up against it, it's very difficult to hear anything. I can't see how on earth you'd be able to hear it in a very quiet room. It's a GREAT product, and be sure to take advantage of the $50 rebate.
