What size do you recommend?

I need an SD card for my new Axim, I am sure I will install some apps, plenty of games, as well as the space needed for email, contacts etc...what size are most people using?

If you have the cash get a 1GB. If you have even more cash, get the upcoming 2GB card. If you have insane amounts of cash, build yourself a 10GB SD card.

If you can afford it, go with the 1GB card. They are going for around $50-$70 after rebates. I wouldn't go any less than 512MB. Unless you like to switch out cards a lot.

^^^^ Agreed. Right now, with prices, a 1GB SD card is your best bet, unless you want to hold out for a 2GB SD card. Anything less and you'll soon find that you're running out of space and will wind up having to buy ANOTHER card anyway.

That's what happened to me. In Feb. 2004 I got an SD card to go with my then X3i. I didn't think I'd even need that much space... and initially I was right. Half the card wasn't even used... but with huge programs like TextMaker and games, MP3s and a few pictures, I only have 14MB left on my 256MB card.

Now I'm waiting on the 1GB SD card I ordered from Dell. Jesus, these people are slow! By the time I get my 1GB card, the 2GB card will be out and selling for less than what I paid for my 1GB. Argh! Hurry the heck up, Dell!

Yup, wrong pic. Probably didn't have any 2giggers in stock to take a pciture of, but the price is right.
So many programs, not enough ROM
