Rosewill 1GB Secure Digital?

Hey,

I am the proud new owner of a x30. I want to buy an upgraded SD card. I have always shopped on Newegg.com when it comes to tech related items. They always have great service, and you can usually count on the users reviews. They are offering the Rosewill 1GB Secure Digital RSD1024 for 65 dollars plus 5 for shipping. Seems like a great deal to me. They also have the scan disk that I keep hearing such ugly things about for the same price.

Anyone have the Rosewell card? I couldn't find reviews anywhere. Google is usually my best friend.

I plan on storing mostly music on the card. Maybe some avi's from time to time. I bought the sxim as a media player then anything else.

If you don't think the Rosewell is my best bet, any other ideas? I'm scared of the scan disk and dont think I need a high end 60x speed.

Money isnt that big of an issue, although I am a student and would like to be as thrifty as possible.

Thanks
Chris

Chris and wecome aboard!

I've never heard of a "Rosewill" but I do have a SanDisk 1GB SD card that I got from Dell. It works purfectly fine. I have a bunch of movies, MP3s, pictures, and programs stored to it. It works flawlessly.

I've never tried a Kingmax 60x 1GB SD card but I've been reading more problems with the Kngmax 60x than the SanDisk.

I have always used Scandisk in the past for other items. I carry a 512 usb drive 24/7. I've just been worried by all the users on here. Even newegg's users like it. Usually they are hyper critical.

Still interested in reviews of the Rosewell if any.

Well. I decided to go ahead and order the Scandisk. I know if I'm having problems, newegg will be more then happy to help me out in getting a replacement.

I'll keep the forum posted.
