any advantages in using SD instead of CF?

I have both SD and CF cards... any advantages over one when using it for storage and app installs?

If you leave the CF slot open, you can add on other items, like a CF GPS.

There are SD accessories (e.g., cams) but there are MORE CF accessories available. SD cards also have a little lock for more security.

I was wondering that as well. Appreciate about GPS, but is CF or SD quicker, or is it as good as your make of card?

The SD card slot is a lot faster than the CF slot with the Axim (dues to the SD slot being 4-bit instead of regular 1-bit...dunno where I read that though).

That would be a useful fact if someone could verify it.

I got it from this review (linked on Slashdot):

Check the "Expansion" section of the article.

Where this guy got the info from: no clue

Dunno about the 4-bit vs 1-bit thing, but movies play faster from SD on the X50v. See the numerous BETA player threads.
