anyone here use a kingmax platinum 66x 1GB? - does it work in a card reader?

can someone help me? i just bought a 66x so that i could use it with my axim and card reader (ie use card reader to dump stuff to it faster) problem though is while the Axim reads it my card reader wont i am not sure if this is cos my reader can not read large size cards or if it is just the king max... anyone using it with a card reader?

i have tried a 16MB panasonic in the reader and it works perfectly...

please help if u can or have any suggestions

- o when i try it in my card reader and open the drive - that folder just freezes until i pull the card out....

Some card readers have a 512Mb limit that they can address. This is probably your problem. Try a 512Mb
card or smaller in your reader if they work then thats your problem you will need to buy a different reader that can handle the 1 Gig card.

dang - i have tested a 16 MB panasonic and that works... is there any way to tell? i really didnt want to replace my reader cos it has built in usb hub too :(

this looks to be the exact reader minus some branding...

i have that exact card... i love the performance in the card my card reader. which is a USB2 slot on the front of my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer... works great there... doesn't work so hot in the axim... i have the "do you want to format this disk" display about once a day.

hate this card. can't be trusted.
