Microdrive running continuously

At heart I am a make do person and I can make do - starting and stopping applications to get my Magicstor to stop spinning (presumably at a fast battery drain) but why should I have too? I spoke with Magicstor tech assistance and it seems that they don't recommend using this drive with the x50v. They said some people can't play MP3s or video off of it. I am running video and it is working ok, but not perfect. In short, I would not recommend this drive to you. I can use it successfully but it is a bother at best. Look somewhere else for you Storage needs.
