How do I transfer files from my Built in storage to my SD card?
I just bought a x50v and I have a 1GB SD card. I'm trying to get my files from the built in storage to the SD card so I can use my built in storage again. I have tried data backup and I can see the file on the SD card. The problem is when I try to open the file stored on the SD card I get a fail message stating this file is not a recognized application. Is there anyone out there that can tell a new guy how to get files from the device to the SD card?

I am a newcomer too but I am happy to share what little knowledge I have - I would delete the program you have previously installed into built in storage and then reinstall it - this time choosing "no" to the question of installing it to the default location and then selecting your SD card as the target.

I agree. as long as there are no documents to worry about, it is just as easy and quick to do an uninstall, then reinstall where you want it to go. An uninstall is better than a delete, as it cleans out the registry as well, normally. Yuou can uninstall from your pc, or from the PDA. Check my signature for a few hints and tips on how to do some of this stuff. Very nice "how to's" there.

One trick in doing this is after you install the software to the new location, you can copy the old folder installation over the new same folder and replace all the files. This action will reinstate your settings made in the previous installation and added data file if located there.
