Hello all,

I am looking for a simple inexpensive SD card reader/writer? It doesnt have to be a multi reader (since I already have a CF reader form my digi). Any suggestions?

Packard Bell readers (usb 2) are good - most seem to come in at least 8 in 1 versions so you may be forced to buy a multi-reader.

What Axim do you have? If you have an X5 or X50, you'll want to get a multi-reader that can handle both SD and CF cards. Ironically, they're not that much more expensive than readers for one type only.

I just bought the Lexar single slot multi-reader (also known as the treo) http://www.lexar.com/readers/trio.html

For me, it reads SD (Axim and others) and xD cards (Olympus digital cameras), and does so in a very nice portable format.

Available at Wal-mart for under $20. But that was in the store...they aren't online Walmart.com(???)

I'm also partial to Lexar SD memory. No other brands for me. They tested the fastest, and there hasn't been a single Lexar complaint since I joined Aximsite in October...well, there have been, but the problems were either old Sandisk external readers (the old ones don't handle large formats very well) or actual internal SD drive problems on the Axims themselves (meaning advanced exchange)
