Looking for a new SD memory card reader/writer need help?
Okay folks ready to put my new Kingston 1GB Sd card to use. I would like to play MP3's on my Axim X30h and being the newbie I am I decide to ask the experts you guys for help. First can any body recommend a good SD card reader and writer that is also not to expensive? I would use to put MP3's on the card. Second do I need to format the card before doing so? Can I do that with the Sd card reader/writer that I buy? Sorry if this ? is to newbie(ish). It just that I would like to ask the pro's before making any mistakes. Any help would be appreciated people. :approve:

Just to clarify for anyone else who might be reading, USB 2.0 is not required, but it really improves the performance especially with a larger card. I happen to have a USB1.1 reader and hate transferring large quantities of data, but it does work.
Wal-Mart has a sandisk 12 in 1 reader writer for around 28.00..works with both 1.1 and 2.0 USB

I paid $8 and it was here in one day. So total my 12-1 card reader cost me $8.

USB 2.0 is only important if your PC happens to have that also.
I use sandisk myself but I only have an 8 in 1. ;)
Even retail from a brick and mortar store they're not very expensive.

If you are only using sd cards (no camera or other equipment using other types of flash memory), a nice option I use are the small USB Flash Drives like the Bonzai upgradeable or the Lexar Jumpdrive Trio. These allow you to use your extra sd cards as flash drives. I just got a Bonzai from buy.com for under $10. The Lexar I bought a while ago was closer to $20.
