I've thought about it, but decided not to because the smell would be bad. Next time I go camping, I'll take a CF card and a blowtorch with to see how well it pans out ;-).

first i think you ment GPS not GPRS, secondly if that is all your doing why the all the security?

I read in one the pc magazines about 5 years ago. I dont remember which one that they did all kinds of stress tests on media cards and the compact flash card survived being put in the oven at 350 and being frozen in ice. I wish I could find that article online somewhere.
