Transferring files to SD card using card reader results in corrupt files

It never happened before.

When i transfer say MP3 files using a card reader and try to open it on my Axim, it doesnt let me. For example in GSplayer when i try add it to playlist it just ends up with a blank playlist with nothing added.

If i transfer using ActiveSync it works fine.

But if i transfer using the card reader and then play the file from the cardreader on my PC it works.

Anyone had this problem ? Is my card reader dead ?

The PPC could read the files after a while. Except the songs were screwed, played only parts of it.

Just done a full on hard reset and a format of the SD card. Seems to work now. Looks like the SD was corrupt.
