got a wing, and questions...
just got a new wing. After my x51v got stolen I decided to replace it with a phone combo. Anyway I'm still a newbie with pocket pc's but want to get the most out it.

How do I get rid of 'handango inhand' and other preloaded software that tmobile doesn't want us to get rid of. With the limited memory of this thing I figured I should get rid of some of these uneeded and unwanted software junks. Anything else to get rid of that you'd recommend?

Next, where is all my memory- my program memory is already down to 4 megs, is this allocated automatically by how much total memory is available? My storage memory is down to 4 megs too- it helped when I dumped the internet files.

So, I've got some memory on order but also noticed that I can buy 4 gig micro cards... will those work on the wing? Will adding memory solve the memory problems with the wing?

All this being said, I really love my new wing the speed is actually better than I expected and wfi is blazing fast, WM6 is a nice upgrade.

thanks!

If you go to the "remove program" control panel, are the unneeded progs listed there. If not, the OEM built it into the ROM and you will have to manualy delete the files and shortcuts. If you screw something up a hard reset will put them all back in.

Is the wing WM6? if so it should do the SDHC 4 gb cards

I know I read somewhere that you can bypass the Provider install after a hard reset on the Mogul, I presume the Wing would be the same way.

they all do.

do a hard reset, do the screen setup at one point it will start provider customization, as soon as that starts hit the soft reset button

I'm using a Sandisk 4GB SDHC that I bot from Amazon in my Wing. Works great. I install all of my extra programs on the card to free up memory.

I hope this helps!

The apps you mention can be removed using the remove program applet, just like past versions of PPC.

The Wing (or really WM6) does take up more memory. I find a combination of overclocking (to 247) and reducing the size of the page pool (I know I am not saying that right), has made my Wing wonderful.

If searching doesn't yield more details, I can post more when I get home.
