the problem with pocket music for me is that when I use tomtom on my X50 i rotate the screen left but pocket music only rotates right, not much use upside down really.
Try this!
1-As far as Today skin. Go to www.mcDeb.com and download any VGA skins. Don't use the ones created for SPB (extended) they don't work.
2-For WMP10, unzip the attached files and create a directory on your storage card (e.g. WMP skins) and drop this file in. Then go to WMP to select this skin. Be patient and wait for WMP to scan and find the skin...

OK love the skins but do they support landscape ??. I really need a nice landscape skin. also I tried buying these off pocket gear but I got an error everytime I went to confirm the order, I have tried doing it on my PC and MAC but when I add it to the cart it comes up as a ZERO amount then lets me get all the way to confirm order then says there's an error, all my details are correct. if it supports landscape is there another way of getting it ??

You can delete the [ Bitmaps ] line, I just use it as a marker, then delete it.
Apparently, WMP is looking for these lines in the .skn file. I don't know why, but it worked for all of the wmp skins that I had previously tried to use, but couldn't.
Now, if I could only figure out why some of the skins are the size of a postage stamp! Anyone figure out that one yet???
I really can't believe you figured out how to use skins now. Now, I'm also wondering how I can make these skins bigger. Like you said, they are really tiny. What should I do to fix it? I have this really cool skin that I really want to use, but it is like 1.5 inches by 1 inch. Too small. HAHA Thanks for the help!
I am currently testing all of my skins to try to find out what deviation in the skin file is causing problems. I will post my findings here when complete.
In the meantime, if anyone else solves this problem please contact me.

I need skins like these in landscape whats a good skin for landscape that has big buttons for use while driving, that looks good??
Solsie: I bought the Tweak VGA skin and tried your method, but WMP couldn't find it. It could, however, find the one you attached to your post above. How do you get this to work? I bought a couple of skins and can't get them to work.
Those of you that are having problems with the skin showing up small are trying to use the QVGA skin with a VGA device. By changing the Dimensions in the header you are tricking your device into thinking that it is a VGA skin, but all of the graphics files are still QVGA size.
For those of you that are trying to get this skin to work on Windows Mobile 5; I have been working hard to try to get my skins to work with this OS. I can alter the skin to get it to work with some devices (x50, x50v w/ upgraded OS) but have had problems with other devices (x51v).
If you have the wrong size skin for your device please email me at jmckinney@twistedpixels.com with your purchase info (purchase site and your email) and I will get you the correct skin. If you are trying to get this skin to work on Windows Mobile 5, then please be patient while I work on a release for this OS. I will do my best to get you a temporary fix until a updated skin is released.
I want this to be my mp3 player screen, can someone make this skin for mort player or WMplayer especially to work in landscape.

OK I've given up on WMP and gone back to MORT player and decided to make my own skin it's landscape only coz I use it in the car.
It landscape VGA and it's SWEET. :love:
One of the big points of confusion is that the links from windows mobile media player 10 go to skins for older versions of media player that are not really designed to work on WM5 (most of the skins listed have been around since Windows Media Mobile 7 or so). It seems to be messing with a lot of people.

I too have similar issues using WM10 on my Axim X51v. It doesn't seem to matter where I place the skin files, they do not show up in medial player's selection screen. I have tried placing them in their own subdirectory under Program Files\Media Player, and alone in the media player directory one at a time, but no luck.
Very frustrating.
