One suggestion for this. Is it possible to show the shuffle mode as text somewhere on the display?
I have been planning to make a few improvements when I get chance (soon I hope) these will include the changes UnLoGic wanted but the way I want to design them. and if possible without cluttering up the display a text indication of some of the settings chosen.

Fantastic!!!
For what it is worth, my favorite skin from a functionality standpoint is the 'Sonicated' skin on Mort's site. It combines a basic player view with a large view of the playlist and indicators for all the play modes. If you can combine that skin's functionality with your skins aesthetic beauty, you'd have the ultimate mortplayer skin!!

Awesome! :approve:

I have an error, I not be able to view any skin in my pockepc, I have copied the skin in the directory of the mort Player skins and when i select display>skin appears the name of the skin but when I select it, no images are visible in the screen, only the skin without pictures, do you know what would be the problem???
I have tryed with other skin and the same problem...
My PPC is Dell Axim X51v WM5 and I have the mort player on my SD card...
I don´t know what to do...
Hi, As I mentioned previously. I am using Mortplayer for listening podcast. My Podcast folders are organized as below:
Storage Card\My Podcast\Feed1\..Mp3; Mp3....
\Feed2\..Mp3; Mp3,...
\Feed3\..Mp3; Mp3,...
I create a favorite entry pointing to folder My Podcast and it works well. However, I am having the below problems, I hope you can give me insight:
1-After I pause and exit, when I activate MP again, the audio resumes from where I left off, however, in the playlist, the current audio is the only one left. I have to click on menu (open) and select the All Favorites again to reactivate my previous playlist
2-If I click on menu (open), I only see the list of subdirectories (in my case, it shows: Feed1, Feed2,...) sorted by name. I wish MP shows the list of MP3 files instead and possibly sort them by date of creation - Newest first.
My idea is, in the morning, I just grab my Axim, launch Mortplayer and I could listen the newest Mp3's...
Many thanks!

That's strange. Which start mode did you select?

Sorry, that doesn't fit with the intended usage at all. The open dialog is just for subdirectories and playlists, otherwise it would become too crowded and thus almost unusable.
You could add all files automatically to the playlist if you select "Favorites to playlist" as start mode, but it'll be sorted alphabetically.

Well, I just wish...when I select display the contents of the current Playlist, a list of mp3 files are shown instead of all the directories that the mp3 belong to. And of course the ability to have them sorted by date of creation.

That should work...
Maybe there's not enough space on the drive MortPlayer is installed to? Could you check whether the playlist.mpl is filled correctly after you closed the player? It's a plain text file.

I've planned something similar - I wanted to add an option to open the "other files" dialog with the selected directory.

Actually, I changed Update Favorite Structure from "Every Start" to "Manual" and it retains all the mp3 files after resume.

Please take a look at the screenshot taken from PocketMusic, which shows all the mp3 in the playlist (these Podcast mp3's reside in different folders and can be sorted by creation time.
Thank you again for taking time addressing this!
MortPlayer rocks!

OK, here is an update i'm working on, it now has directory / album jump buttons top and bottom of the main buttons, and the shuffle setting is now shown.
feedback please, I haven't made a start on the portrait format yet.
Looks awesome ir803. I've made a discovery that has moved this to the top of my mortplayer skin list. You can map a hardware button to the 'next screen' function. This allows you to switch between the beautiful myPod main screen and the more functional playlist screen one handed. That was new to me!! I'm now happily using the old verion of myPod and anxiously awaiting the new version.
