Got tired of not having any landscape skins for Mort Player, now I use tomtom in landscape mode in my car and sometimes I just use my Axim in the car for music. So I have made a landscape VGA skin, i'm calling it mypod (not very original but who cares)

Here's my "MYPOD" skin for Mort player, very nearly finished now just a couple of tweaks and it will be ready.
It was designed for car use so the controls are kept to a minimum, to get the playlist which you don't always need in the car while your driving you just touch the current track title. To get the equalizer which I personally never use you touch the image of the graphic equalizer in the blue area of the screen, the black equalizer button brings up the effects which is used more often by me. the minimize button is big enough to access easily because if your running sat nav at the same time it's nice to flick back and forth. the playlist and album list screen are set using 320 by 240 images just to keep the memory usage down because generally your gonna use the player in the main screen mode anyway, why increase the file size jsut for a couple of screens you flick to and from, and because I don't personally mess with the eqalizer I've left it as the default setup.
This skin looks amazing in the day but at night it really looks the business and because it's blue on black it is less distracting if it's in your field of vision when driving.

You can skip folders also by tap&hold on the track skip buttons, if the playback is stopped. I think it'd be hard to integrate the list skip buttons in the main screen without either distorting the layout or making the available buttons too tiny.
However, I think it would be a good idea to add them (and an "Open" button) to the playlist screen, which looks more like a first go to me anyway.
