Greyed out Background Picture

Have a little issue that is bugging me.

My background Pictures are washed out.

System as follows
x51v 624mhz A06
WisBar 2.5
Pocketbreeze (newest version)

This had gotten me scratching my head any help would be apperciated. Would like those stunning backgrounds like those of you that have posted on here.

Update: There seems to be a conflict between the themes selection under settings>today>themes and WA2 themes
The x51v Takes the Skin from WA2 for the upper and lower bars. But the Today Background, font color, and all other items for folders (hightlight color ect.) comes from the settings>today>themes options.

After the last few days and looking over the posts here and at WisBar Advance website I have answered my issues I had fixing my x51v to look how I wanted. Alot the answers were all spread out over the threads so I thought I would consolidate the following questions.

1. Background Picture is greyed/washed out if you select Use This Picture as the background
You have to use a theme generator to add the background pictures there is simple one at Microsoft (google Microsoft theme generator v2)

2. When applying a theme the display goes right back to the Default background and color
The theme has extended Features for PB+ extender. If you still want to use the theme open it up under Microsoft Theme generator v2) Click through the options and save it under a new file.

3. When applying WisBar Advance Theme the bottom softkeys won't skin
Try a soft reset. There is an occasional issue with the dll files that wm5 has with WBA.

Hope this helps some. (Sorry for not supplying links to sites I am at work and most of them are blocked)

You can't use the MS Theme generator, that is for QVGA version. Create your own .tsk file using 3rd party vendor tool, such the one shown at www.mcdeb.com
BTW, you can go there and download some nice VGA themes :approve:

Again, the SBP extended themes don't work well with WM5..I believe

Hmm, I never had this issue w/WM5. Just make sure a couple of basic things when using WA.

1-On WM5, install WA on the device, not on your storage card
2-On WM2003, install on BIS seems to work well
3-Install WA themes on storage card and use setting to specify the path
4-Install your .tsk files on the root of storage card and avoid your main memory \My documents folder
5-WA start menu settings: uncheck: Cache prog on start up; Check: Don't cache backgroung images
6-I think I have better luck w/non cascading start menu...But this is just my opinion
